Call home applications typically monitor various hardware resources in a data center like servers, storage systems, network devices etc., and notify the administrators in case of any hardware related issues. The Serviceability call home applications are a set of applications that run on client hardware, and which proactively detect an occurrence of an error on the hardware, collects the inventory and other relevant information about the failure and notifies the administrators/support teams together with the collected information.
The Client Experience Electronic support & Analytics is looking for candidates to be part of a high-performance Application development team. Enabling state of the art cloud solutions to transform, automate and provide insights to delight our clients.
In this role, you will be working on applications to support the Product Call Home functionality, ensuring that the problem for hardware can be quickly reported to IBM.
- 6 – 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in Java 8, Java 17 ,OSGi Framework, Tomcat and 1 additional Application Server / Web Container
- Expertise in Git / Git Cli / Gerrit
- Ability to learn and use proprietary libraries
- Experience in Rest Services, Junit/ TestNg / other java unit testing framework
- Experience in Memory Dump Analysis and Performance tuning of threads/garbage collections
- Experience in Shell Scripting and DB2 Queries
- Experience in post release support
- Experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot (microservices) and Spring Cloud
- Experience in Vue.js
- Experience in Open Liberty and WebSphere Application server
- Experience in DB2 for i (AS400)
- Knowledge of Soap Services, Jenkins, SonarQube and other Static Code Analysis Frameworks and Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- Experience in Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience in Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE
- High Level Knowledge of Salesforce.
- Any Preferred tool for task Tracking. (Jira, Trello, RTC, GitHub Enterprise)
- Experience in Python, NodeJS, ReactJS
- Experience in UI development
- Knowledge in build tools (Ant, Maven)
- Scripting technologies (Bash, Shell, Perl)
