Content designers create and communicate meaning throughout the experiences of products or services for users and customers. They help people understand the value of the solutions designed by IBM and the customer experiences with clarity and consistency, and guide them to take the next steps to achieve their goals.
Key skills include:
1. Modeling and structuring content to create viable, feasible, and desirable solutions.
2. Conducting thorough research and analysis to support the content.
3. Writing, editing, and selecting content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability.
4. Simplifying complex content for users.
5. Creating content that motivates users to take action.
6. Establishing and maintaining a consistent voice and tone throughout the content journey.
7. Defining content goals and user journeys based on user or customer objectives.
8. Localizing content for diverse audiences and markets.
- Proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or similar role.
- Portfolio with examples of content for digital interfaces (apps, websites, systems, etc.).
- Ability to write clearly, objectively, and with a user-centered approach.
- Capacity to make decisions based on data and research.
- Familiarity with user-centered design (UCD) practices, design thinking, and agile methodologies.
- Experience with defining voice and tone, style guides, and design systems.
- Experience in localization and adaptation of content for multiple languages/markets.
- Intermediate or advanced English.
