In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities
  1. Sales Order Management (SOM):
    • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot the sales order process in SAP, ensuring smooth processing of customer orders from creation to delivery.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Logistics, and Finance) to resolve any issues in the order processing cycle.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements for order handling, processing, and delivery.
    • Implement enhancements and system optimizations to improve the efficiency of order processing.
    • Monitor and manage the order backlog and support the team in ensuring timely order fulfillment.
  2. Pricing & Invoicing:
    • Oversee the SAP pricing procedure to ensure accurate and timely pricing of products and services.
    • Configure and maintain pricing conditions, discounts, and surcharges, ensuring that they are aligned with business strategies and customer agreements.
    • Resolve any pricing discrepancies and collaborate with the finance team to ensure correct invoicing and revenue recognition.
    • Ensure invoicing processes are compliant with internal controls, and resolve any issues related to invoicing, including credit memos, adjustments, and disputes.
    • Support the integration of SAP with external billing and invoicing systems, if applicable.
  3. Intercompany Functions:
    • Lead the setup and configuration of intercompany processes within the SAP OTC cycle, including intercompany sales orders, intercompany billing, and financial postings.
    • Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure correct invoicing, transfer pricing, and tax calculations for intercompany transactions.
    • Manage intercompany reconciliation processes and resolve discrepancies in the intercompany flow of goods and services.
    • Support compliance with tax regulations, transfer pricing rules, and any other legal requirements in relation to intercompany transactions.
    • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities related to intercompany processes.
  4. System Configuration and Support:
    • Configure and customize SAP SD module to support Sales Order Management, Pricing, Invoicing, and Intercompany transactions.
    • Provide ongoing system support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to OTC processes.
    • Conduct regular system testing for patches, upgrades, and new features, ensuring minimal disruption to business processes.
    • Collaborate with SAP Basis and Security teams to manage user roles, authorizations, and access rights for OTC processes.
  5. Business Process Improvement & Documentation:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve OTC processes through system automation, process redesign, and technology upgrades.
    • Maintain and update documentation related to SAP OTC processes, including process flows, SOPs, and training materials.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand evolving needs and ensure that SAP configurations and functionality are aligned with business goals.
  6. User Training & Support:
    • Provide training and support to end-users in the Sales, Finance, and Operations teams on SAP OTC processes and tools.
    • Conduct workshops and create user manuals to ensure efficient use of the SAP system.
    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for OTC processes, providing guidance and resolving queries from end-users.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with other SAP functional teams (e.g., MM, FI, CO, and WM) to ensure end-to-end process integration across the SAP landscape.
    • Participate in project teams for SAP rollouts, enhancements, and upgrades, providing expertise on OTC processes.
    • Liaise with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and propose solutions to improve system performance.
  8. Reporting and Analytics:
    • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the OTC process, such as order fulfillment, pricing accuracy, invoicing accuracy, and intercompany transaction efficiency.
    • Provide insights to management on trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements within the OTC cycle.
Required education

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. SAP certification in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP Order to Cash (OTC) processes, including Sales Order Management (SOM), Pricing, Invoicing, and Intercompany functions.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in SAP SD module, including configuration and customization for OTC processes.
    • Hands-on experience with intercompany processes and integration with FI/CO.
    • Strong understanding of pricing conditions, pricing procedures, and invoicing processes in SAP.
    • Familiarity with SAP integration points with other SAP modules (MM, FI, CO, and LE).
    • Knowledge of SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP BW, and SAP Query).
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams and provide training and support.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find solutions within the SAP environment.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing or participating in SAP projects, enhancements, and system upgrades.
  • Business Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of the OTC business processes in a manufacturing, distribution, or service environment.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or other newer SAP platforms.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP UI5 for building user-friendly interfaces and reports.
  • Familiarity with global taxation rules, transfer pricing, and VAT compliance.
