In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
As a Application Developer you'll participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle, such as design, code implementation, testing, and support. You will create software that enables your clients' hybrid-cloud and AI journeys
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Analyze and develop Mainframe z/OS applications using PLI/JCL/DB2/CICS, MQ, CICS Web services. Design, develop and maintain mainframe Pl1/CICS/Db2 applications.
- Participate in maintenance and On-call/on-duty as per the requirement of the Squad.
- Create documentation and procedures for maintenance.
- Build and maintain relationships with various squads and third parties on software development or support issues.
- Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.
- Interface with business and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them to formal technical requirements and application code.
