The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Quality Assurance (QA) Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of marketing campaigns and assets developed within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. They perform thorough testing of content, email templates, automation workflows, landing pages, data integrations, and other marketing assets to identify any defects or issues before deployment. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, developing test plans, executing test cases, and providing feedback for improvements.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough testing of dynamic content/ampsrcript, email templates, automation workflows, landing pages, data integrations, and other marketing assets to identify any defects or issues before deployment
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements and campaign objectives.
• Developing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project specifications.
• Executing functional, regression, and performance testing of marketing assets within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Identifying and documenting defects, issues, and discrepancies found during testing.
• Working closely with designers and back-end developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Ensuring that marketing assets meet quality standards, industry best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Providing feedback and recommendations for improving the user experience and overall quality of marketing campaigns.
• Maintaining test documentation and reporting on testing progress and results.
• Web Development, or similar, or comparable experience
• Ability to test both back-end and front-end items in SFMC, including email, landing pages, integrations, data extensions, automations and journeys
• Experience in quality assurance testing, preferably in the context of marketing automation platforms or web applications.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, techniques, and tools.(test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project specifications.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously follow test plans and procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of email marketing best practices, CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator certification
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer certification
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
• Workflow tool experience (Jira, Workfront, Aprimo, etc.)
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus, as it relates to testing email templates and landing pages.
