As an Application/Front-end Developer, you will lead IBM into the future by translating system requirements into the design and development of customized systems in an agile environment. As a Mid-Level Front-end Developer you will join a team focused on developing internal tools for automation, analytics, reporting and proactive activities to help our Technical Support engineers deliver first class remote and onsite services. The individual we are looking to hire is person with an adequate experience in the area, was part of development teams of bigger projects and has experience in a dynamic development environment. You will be exposed to interesting challenges and, most importantly, the outcome of your work will benefit thousands of users within the IBM company.

Responsibilities:


  • Write and maintain code, assist with the running of the code on IBM Cloud.
  • Assist in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Perform L3 support of the code as it runs on dev and prod environments.
  • Update security vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest React and TypeScript trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Learn, understand, and document the high-level design of the microservices.

  • Proficiency in React and Redux for state management
  • Proficiency in Git and Hands-on experience with REST APIs
  • Strong understanding of unit testing and test-driven development and experience working in a microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices; knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes and DevOps
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira for issue tracking
  • Familiarity with SASS and LESS for styling

  • Experience with React Query for data fetching and background in performance optimization for React applications
  • Knowledge of JWT authentication and secure API integration
  • Proficiency in D3.js for data visualization
  • Experience with Selenium for UI testing
