The Corporate Affairs team in India / South Asia (ISA) drives broad, cross-company reputation and positioning initiatives and brings together complimentary functions that shape perceptions of the company and speak to specific audiences: top tier reporters, industry analysts, and current or potential clients and IBMers.
As part of IBM’s Corporate Affairs team in India/South Asia, you will help shape and protect IBM’s reputation through compelling, consistent, and strategic external communications. You’ll work closely with media, influencers, and internal teams to bring IBM’s innovation stories to life—demonstrating how our technology and expertise create impact for clients, industries, and society.
You’ll play a key role in driving awareness of IBM’s strategic priorities, supporting business growth, and reinforcing our leadership in the tech industry.
You will be required to develop communications plans and strategies, collaborate on messaging architecture that helps the company's mission, and supports the business with messages and success stories that promote IBM's leadership and will also be required to help drive visibility for IBM key businesses via media by managing effective relationships, collaborating across IBM to develop unified influencer plans to increase the understanding of IBM strategies and offerings in the market, conditioning the market using the analysts well in advance of key announcements and driving market leadership/differentiation overall.
· Develop and execute external communications strategies that strengthen IBM’s brand and support key business objectives.
· Build and manage media relationships with top-tier reporters and key influencers to secure impactful coverage.
· Craft compelling content and messaging aligned to IBM’s mission, offerings, and leadership vision.
· Drive integrated communications plans across earned, owned, and paid media—amplified through social and digital platforms.
· Partner with business leaders and marketing teams to tell success stories and bring IBM’s differentiators to the forefront.
· Collaborate with analyst relations and global teams to build market understanding of IBM’s innovation agenda.
· Advise internal stakeholders on media engagement, reputation opportunities, and message discipline.
· Stay ahead of the curve by bringing fresh thinking, innovation, and creativity to external engagement strategies.

· Experience in a creative communications role, with proven success in executive communications
· Strong writing and storytelling ability with a passion for bringing together various messages, often weaving together multiple areas of the company
· Ability to analyze data to drive decision making and underpin continuous improvement efforts
· Curious learner who quickly develops an understanding of a wide range of subjects, and understands and applies feedback
· Growth minded and willing to adjust ways of working and communication approaches to meet the objective at hand
· Collaborative team player who is enthusiastic about partnering across teams inside and outside of Corporate Affairs
· Strong experience in PR or corporate communications (5–7 years), preferably in the tech sector.
· Proven media relations skills and a network of journalist and influencer contacts.
· Excellent writing and storytelling ability—able to simplify complex topics and tailor messaging for different audiences.
· Strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and high-visibility projects.
· Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a collaborative, problem-solving attitude.
· Proficiency in social media, digital platforms, and influencer engagement.
· A curious learner with a growth mindset and strong stakeholder management skills.
