IBM® DataPower® Gateway is a single multichannel gateway that helps provide security, control, integration, and optimized access. These capabilities apply to a full range of mobile, web, application programming interface (API), service-oriented architecture (SOA), B2B, and cloud workloads. DataPower Gateway provides a converged policy enforcement point to secure your workloads with consistent security policies across channels, which reduce operating costs and improve security. DataPower Gateway is available in physical, virtual, Linux, and container form factors.As a member of the DataPower release engineering team, you will help manage, build, and optimize the various processes, tools, and environments needed to build world class products that delight our customers. This will include building and maintaining virtualized environments, automating routine work, managing physical servers, and helping drive various processes from the initial software build pipeline all the way through the final release to our customers.
- 2-5 years of experience with Bash, Python, and/or other scripting languages
- Strong Linux and sysadmin skills
- Experience with version control software, especially Git and/or Perforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the aptitude to regularly write and update shared documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to provide off-hours and weekend support of world wide team when needed
- Ability to unpack, rack, and setup large physical servers as needed in the lab
- Working knowledge of VMWare ESXi and virtualization
- Experience debugging and maintaining hardware systems, including network appliances and application servers
- Experience with CI/CD such as Jenkins, Travis, Tekton, etc.
- Experience with container applications and container orchestration, e.g. Kubernetes
