As Brand Technical Specialist focused on IT Automation your mission is to engage IBM Strategic clients with an opinionated point of view as an IBM Technologist, practitioner and IT Automation solution expert. Your deep knowledge and experience with IBM IT Automation Products (Instana, Turbonomic, Apptio, AIOPS, Concert) along with a deep understanding of competitive advantage places you in a unique position of influence and value for your clients’. As a practitioner, you will show and prove how IBM's technology addresses client needs and delivers value. You will work with other IBMers to identify opportunities, remove technical inhibitors and progress technical sales resulting in client success and IT Automation business growth.
As a technical seller within the IT Automation pillar, you'll increase your strategic clients technical capabilities by demonstrating IBM Technology across:
· IT Observability and/or
· IT Financial Management (ITFM)/FinOps
· AIOps and/or
· DevSecOps

With the primary goal of expanding the capability and capacity of the overall IT Automation pillar at IBM Key strategic accounts.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
· Facilitation of Pre-Sales Technical Activities: Facilitate pre-sales, experiential technical activities such as technology demonstrations and co-creation working sessions that lead to proofs of concept (PoC) and/or minimal viable products (MVPs).
· Leadership in Building Technical Skills: Lead the delivery of joint-learning activities to build technical skills and expertise of the strategic clients
· Continuous Knowledge Expansion: Continuously expand essential business, industry, technology, architecture, and foundational knowledge in Kubernetes/Red Hat, IT Observability, ITFM, FinOps and DevOps
· Client Strategy Development: Create strategic plans for clients, focusing on infrastructure, applications, and automation solutions.
· IBM Automation Solution Design: Define practical IBM Automation solutions that enhance existing technology stacks with a focus on IT Observability (Turbonomic/Instana/Concert), ITFM/SAM (Apptio, Cloudability,Flexera) and AIOps.
· Proof of Concept Delivery: Provide proof of concepts and simplifying technical concepts to ensure client comprehension.
· Building Credibility and Trust: Establish credibility and trust with clients, which is essential for closing complex technology deals.
Location: Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane or Melbourne location.
· 3-5 years Technical Expertise within the IT Observability and/or DevOps/FinOps market: Demonstrable technical subject matter expertise within your field with the ability to engage in complex, architectural conversations and deliver on proof-of-concepts as part of the pre-sales cycle.
· Excellence in Communication and Collaboration: Provable excellence in people, communication, and collaboration skills, with a track record of networking and influencing, at all levels, throughout the successful closure of complex technology sales cycles (ranging from $250k to multi-million-dollar deals), achieved both independently and through teamwork.
· Attention to Detail and System Usage: Proven discipline and attention to detail with the usage of sales management and recording systems, as well as efficient expectation setting and follow-up practices.
· Change Business Goals Into Technical Solutions: Translating business objectives into technical solutions and offering guidance on technology strategies.
· Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven record of influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
