- We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional who can:
- Monitor and support the global movement of IBM directed goods and services from manufacturing through to delivery
- Partner with our Logistic supplier, Quote to Cash, Supply Chain and Brand domains to meet timeliness, cost, quality and client satisfaction expectations
- Contribute to the transformation of Global Logistics (GL) Operations through the identification and implementation of innovative solutions
- Responsible for one or more EMEA Markets - Partner with GL domains on a day to day basis, to manage seamless delivery of goods, with particular focus at Month/ Quarter/ Year end.
- Manage logistics supplier relationship in accordance with agreed contract
- Monitor supplier performance against contracted deliverables, business control points and metrics targets – driving root cause analysis and corrective actions for any negative trends and delivery incidents
- Actively participate in planning, preparation and execution of supplier management and performance reviews
- Support all cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Manage and resolve any problems, escalations or complaints with regard to logistics deliverables.
- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements both internally and with our Logistics supplier
- Actively support the contract change management process and translation of IBM requirements into Statements of Works (SOW).
- Analyse business processes/tools and lead strategic projects in support of process changes and other improvements or legal mandatory initiatives. Actively participate with other domains/suppliers in the cross-functional requirements definition for those changes
- Manage successful rollout of any changes to GL processes/tools, to all teams impacted.
- Proactively seek all opportunities to optimize the logistics processes, systems and network, in line with Agile and Data analytics concepts and tools.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and GL business insight to other IBM domains and Logistics suppliers
- Maintain and develop strong partnerships with other Global Logistics functional teams in all geographies and with other IBM domains (inc Manufacturing, Quote to Cash, Brand Operations, Procurement, Logistics suppliers,)
- Support IBM GL Client Satisfaction activities
- Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in supply chain management, business administration, law, finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sourcing, in one or more indirect categories
- Experience working in multiple regions and managing procurement in different countries and through remote teams
- Ability to support sourcing activities across geographies, with flexibility of working hours
- Multi-company/sector experiences
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practices
- Demonstrated skills in utilizing data to analyze cost modeling scenarios and make sourcing recommendations
- Proven negotiation and contract drafting, analysis and management skills.
- Proficiency in Ariba Sourcing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, understanding of cost levers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to build and leverage strong relationships and networks both within and outside the organization
- Fluency in English. One additional major European language is a plus.
