- Strategy and Policy Development
- - Develop and implement global mobility policies and procedures aligned with company goals.
- - Collaborate with HR leadership and other stakeholders to refine relocation and expatriation strategies.
- International Relocation and Assignment Management
- - Lead/Own end-to-end processes for relocating employees, including cost estimation, vendor management, and onboarding support.
- - Coordinate teams to ensuring housing, transportation, and other logistics for assignees and their families.
- - Ensure IBM debt is collected and managed timely through coordination with IBMers and external agencies
- Immigration and Regulatory Compliance
- - Own/Lead IBM immigration processes, including visa applications and work permits, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- - Partner with legal and tax advisors to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to international employment laws.
- - Partner with IBM Tax and tax consultants to ensure timely tax payments, timely tax return filing, and optimized tax positions.
- Vendor and Partner Management
- - Select and manage external vendors, such as relocation services, tax and immigration consultants.
- - Monitor vendor performance to ensure service quality and efficiency.
- Data Management and Reporting
- - Ensure accurate records of mobility assignments and generate reports on cost, performance metrics, and trends.
- - Analyze global mobility data to recommend improvements to policies and practices.
- Business Controls
- - Global Program owner ensuring effective business controls are in place to minimize risk for IBM.
- - Design and implement effective business controls to ensure the integrity of global Mobility programs
- - Conduct regular reviews of program process to ensure effectiveness
- - Provide detailed risk assessments of propose mitigating strategies to address potential vulnerabilities in global mobility operations.
Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, or mobility/HR operations.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global shared services or COE environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of US immigration regulations
Experience working with mobility vendors
Experience with AI-driven automation and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment.
