The role of BPO Solutions Architect is responsible for the development of IBM's Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solution to clients in Finance, Procurement, Human Resources and more. This involves developing an innovative and competitive business process outsourcing solution at prices that meets customer requirements and adds value to our customers.
Specific areas of focus include:
- Designing and developing a successful solution architecture: The business process solution architect needs to have a clear understanding of the customer's requirements and the ability to design the "future" solution to meet the customer's requirements. This includes defining processes, offering technology solutions to support the processes, and the infrastructure needed to implement the solution. In addition, security, compliance, and other solution considerations should be addressed as part of the solution design.
- Developing a cost case: This involves identifying the various cost elements and taking a balanced approach to deliver a cost-competitive solution without compromising the quality of service delivery.
- Developing and selling the IBM value proposition: Developing an attractive and differentiating IBM value proposition is critical to selling the IBM solution and the solution architect must have the ability to develop and sell this during the sales cycle.
- Collaboration and partnership: As a key member of the sales proposal team, the solution architect will need to work effectively with customer teams and external advisors and build strong relationships. In addition, this role requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner with various internal IBM organizations.

- 5+ years of experience in an area of pre-sales of transformation and BPO solutions, both large and small / medium companies.
- Solid knowledge of Finance, Purchasing and/or Human Resources (and/or other) outsourcing services.
- Solid knowledge of transformation solutions including extreme automation technologies (workflows, OCR, RPA, Rule Engines, etc.) and Gen AI.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent degree.
- Familiarity with business management software (SAP, Oracle).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Collaborator and liaison with all levels and departments within a Consulting and Technology organization.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously given fundamental priorities and responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

- Ability to understand value-based selling and articulate it to C-level executives.
- Ability to survey processes. Knowledge of survey methodologies, maturity analysis, benchmarking, application of best practices and technology.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling in a BPO environment.
- Competitive pricing and business case building with direct and indirect benefits and business models that integrate operation and technology.
- Knowledge and experience of the different phases of the project: transition, transformation, stabilization of the service and continuous improvement.
- Basic understanding of IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and cloud computing (which support service transformations).
- Languages – Advanced/Bilingual English and Intermediate Portuguese (desirable).
