We are seeking an experienced IBM ODM Developer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of decision automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating, maintaining, and deploying taxonomies within IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). This role requires a strong understanding of business rules management, taxonomy design, and decision modeling to ensure the effective categorization and organization of rules for optimal decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement taxonomies in IBM ODM to organize and structure business rules effectively.
- Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to understand decision-making requirements and map them into ODM taxonomies.
- Develop, test, and deploy decision services using IBM ODM.
- Define and document taxonomy standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Work with Rule Designer and Decision Center to configure taxonomies and organize rules.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of decision services and taxonomies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members in the use of IBM ODM tools and taxonomy creation.
- Assist with the integration of ODM solutions with other business systems as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with IBM ODM updates, new features, and best practices to recommend improvements to the solution architecture.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts, preferably in Java.
- Proficiency in decision modeling, rule flow design, and rule categorization strategies
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into logical rule statements.
- Experience working in Agile environments, incl. use of tools like JIRA, Confluence and Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Java/J2EE, XML, and related technologies used in ODM-based applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager), including rule creation, deployment, and management.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing taxonomies within ODM.
- Strong understanding of decision modeling and business rules management concepts.
- Proficiency in Rule Designer, Decision Center, and other IBM ODM components.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and integration methodologies for ODM solutions.
- Strong communication skills to interact with business and technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work with complex business processes and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
