Sua Função e suas Responsabilidades

IBM is looking for a data engineer to work in a team environment for data discovery and curation. 

 

  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of errors with performance tuning of SQL and processes.
  • Create and manage database reports
  • Working with a support team to assist in diagnosing Database and application issues. 
  • Ability to troubleshoot database schema issues or other DB issues and devise a plan to correct.  
  • Application and Database troubleshooting skills are required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the US government/ US Citizenship Required
  • 10 years experience database design and theories  
  • Understanding of data science methodologies  
  • Best practices for data set curation for machine learning and model training - 
  • Expert SQL skills and understanding of query and database tuning best practices  
  • Experience with Schema Design and troubleshooting of database operation  
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and cloud-based platforms  
  • Performance and capacity tuning of system parameters and resources, utilizing various monitoring and reporting tools 

 

Experiência Profissional e Técnica Preferencial
  • Java, web services, SOA concepts
  • Application Management Services experience
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools and data visualization techniques 
  • Experience in a Distributed and Mainframe environment

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
