Responsible for protecting an organization’s systems, networks, and data by implementing security controls, monitoring for threats, managing vulnerabilities, responding to incidents, enforcing security policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and educating users on security best practices.
- Solid programming/scripting fundamentals in at least one language (Python is strongly preferred).
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix command-line environments
- Knowledge one of the cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) through personal projects, coursework, or prior work.
- Knowledge Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or orchestration with Kubernetes.
