In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide value and technical leadership in projects through your expertise in AWS architecture design for development teams within IBM Mexico’s Client Innovation Center. You will lead AWS architectural initiatives for our clients, effectively driving efforts that aim to make a significant impact on their technological modernization.

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

This profile has the potential to add value to development and cloud migration projects, especially in leading the design of architectures on AWS. While they have general knowledge in areas such as networking, databases, analytics, and security, it's important to note that they do not have deep specialization in these topics. This profile is well-suited to effectively lead architectural initiatives.

  • Preferred experience with AWS, with proficiency across a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)

  • AWS professional-level certifications are preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional)

  • Experience with automation and scripting tools (e.g., Terraform, Python, CDK, Shell, Ruby, PowerShell)

  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with AWS services (e.g., AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), Cloud Migration Factory, portfolio analysis tools) and managing large-scale migrations between data centers or from data centers to the cloud; data center operations (e.g., data assurance, monitoring, alerting, and notifications)

  • Experience integrating AWS AI/ML services (SageMaker, Bedrock, Amazon Q); understanding of AI/ML governance and responsible AI practices
