We are looking for a Brand and Content Strategist to create high-quality, engaging content tailored for an AI-focused technical audience. You’ll join a team responsible for audience and competitive research, brand positioning and content strategy to educate, engage, and inspire developers, development leaders, data scientists, and AI enthusiasts. While you don’t need to be a developer or data scientist yourself, you should have a strong grasp of technical concepts, the ability to translate complex ideas into relevant content for your audience, and experience researching and working with developer-focused topics.

In this role, you will:
- Apply deep curiosity to become an expert in the target audience(s) and how IBM’s solutions can help them achieve their goals.
- Create brand & content strategies based on the audience knowledge, research, insights, and business objectives.
- Collaborate across marketing disciplines from Product Marketing to Demand, Ecosystem, Communications, Digital, Client Stories, Events, Social and more to design, execute and optimize opportunities to engage with our audience.
- Analyze performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations to create and optimize content at all points in the customer journey.
- Work closely with internal and external agency partners on development and execution of specific elements of the content strategy, write creative and tactical briefs to prompt work, collaborate on asset creation, and help inform teams to do their best creative work for IBM.
- 5+ years of experience in a content focused role with progressive levels of seniority and responsibility
- A strong contributor and team player who will help accelerate how we drive greater engagement with our target audience.
- Solid understanding of creating and optimizing multi-channel journeys: from social and digital to media, and content metrics.
- Excellent skills in gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing internal and external research and organizing these insights into sound content strategies shareable across channels.
- A portfolio of experiences that demonstrate your ability to facilitate and initiate creative thinking in content creation and content strategy.
- Ability to develop relationships across multiple disciplines and work with a wide array of partners in content development, production and measurement.
