Role:
The Blue Studio design practice is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Production Designer to work on a range of assets, including online, digital, data visualization, print, social, video, and environments. This individual must have a strong eye for craftsmanship, typography and information design. The right candidate should have skills executing across media, design systems, and enterprise platforms, and have the abilities required to deliver well-considered assets.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute, assist, create and deliver custom assets to a high level of functional and aesthetic quality
• Resize and adapt creative assets (e.g., banners, graphics, ads) to various formats, dimensions, and languages while maintaining visual consistency
• Ensure all artwork and final mechanicals are accurate, error-free, adhere to brand standards, meet and exceed timeline and deliverable requirements, and follow all specifications
• Retouch and enhance images with precision, ensuring they meet high-quality standards for both print and digital outputs
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risk, as well as quickly and accurately identify and resolve unexpected issues that can occur during the production process
• Maintain excellent file organization and follow established processes for asset creation and management, and output configuration
• Attention to detail and performing in a fast-paced team-oriented environment with strong organizational skills and time management
• Command of IBM brand’s vision, systems, and documentation
• Maintain and research knowledge of relevant technologies.
Required Experience:
• Deep experience in Digital, Print production, and Advertising Design
• Demonstrated mastery of style sheets, master pages, templates, batch actions, and automation processes
• Hands on experience retouching, offset and digital production processes, and pre-press delivery formats
• Strong portfolio showcasing technical design skills, image retouching, and pixel-perfect execution across various formats
• History of producing final assets, comps and assisting with presentation preparations
• Actively seeking feedback and review of work; accept and act upon creative/technical direction.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
• BFA or MFA in graphic design and/or print production
• Applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, MS Office, Github
• Illustration
• Motion as a plus
• Web standards as a plus
• 3D skills as a plus
