- Deep understanding of midrange storage systems (Dell EMC PowerStore, Unity, VNX, NetApp FAS, HPE Nimble, 3PAR), installation, configuration, maintenance of storage arrays, disk shelves, and related hardware, knowledge of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, SMB), and familiarity with RAID levels.
- Proficiency in storage management software (Unisphere, System Manager, CLIs), experience with storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, snapshot, replication, data migration, and understanding of storage monitoring and alerting tools.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, VMware), virtualization concepts (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V), and storage integration with virtualized environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving storage issues, root cause analysis, and experience with performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs), knowledge of Fibre Channel and iSCSI networking.
- Ability to create clear documentation, excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a team.
Required Skills:

- Advanced knowledge of storage performance tuning, and experience with performance analysis tools.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery, experience with backup/recovery software (Veeam, Commvault), and business continuity planning.
- Relevant storage certifications (Dell EMC Proven Professional, NetApp NCDA/NCIE, HPE ASE).
- Understanding of storage security, encryption, and access control.
- Understanding of storage interaction with Databases (SQL, Oracle).
- Experience with Brocade or Cisco SAN fabric switches.
