Install, configure, and upgrade WAS (ND/Base), IBM HTTP Server (IHS), and plugin modules.
Manage application deployments, JVM configurations, clusters, and nodes.
Maintain cell topology, federations, clusters, and high availability setups.
Create scripts using Jython/wsadmin, Shell, or Ansible for deployments, restarts, and configurations.
Automate repetitive operational tasks such as health checks, log rotation, or config backups.
5+ years of hands-on experience administering IBM WebSphere Application Server (Base/ND) across large-scale, multi-node environments.
Strong experience in installation, configuration, federation, clusters, and deployment management.
Deep knowledge of JVM tuning, GC policies, thread/connection pool configurations, and performance tuning.
Exposure to IHS, plugin configurations, and reverse proxy setup.
Skilled in troubleshooting (heap dumps, thread dumps, FFDC analysis, hung threads, CPU/memory leaks).
Experience with SSL/TLS, keystore management, certificates renewal, and LDAP/AD integration.
Good understanding of Unix/Linux, networking basics, and security compliance.
