We seek a skilled AppOps Support Analyst to join our team, specializing in Application Support and Automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AppOps Support (ideally, with Banking), a deep understanding of the Java-based applications and MQ messaging, and a high commitment to client delivery, service, and support.
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
1. Provide support and troubleshoot the RTGS application and MQ messaging components.
2. Provide automation to streamline work processes using Ansible Tower and bash scripts.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and provide technical guidance.
4. Perform thorough testing of new and modified applications, troubleshooting and resolving any identified bugs or issues.
5. Document all development processes, including design, implementation, and testing phases, for future reference and knowledge sharing.
6. Participate in the on-call rotation for critical system support and issue resolution.
7. Keep up to date with the latest trends and advancements in Java, MQ, and Ansible.
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
2. Proven experience in Application Support with Java-based applications, ideally with Banking.
3. Proven experience supporting applications on a RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise) or Linux-based operating system.
4. Proven experience automating using Ansible Tower and YAML.
5. Strong knowledge with MQ Messaging, as well as SSL and Certificate Authority processes.
6. Knowledge of inter-operability between Oracle Databases and Java-based applications.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex applications.
8. Experience with MLA (monitoring, logging, alerting) technologies such as ELK and Prometheus/Grafana is a bonus.
9. Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
