OUR TEAM
Our Ecosystem marketers have a deep understanding of IBM business partners: how they sell, how they make money, and what their priority offerings are. A critical part of our Marketing & Communications organization, they drive partner-led demand programs to scale business growth for IBM’s technology in line with our strategy based on Hybrid Cloud and AI.
They enable effectiveness and efficiency of motion and brand go-to-market, including services to increase business partner skills, competitiveness, revenue and IBM footprint in their overall business.
As a Partner Marketing Manager, you are supporting a specific geography and taking direction from a Market Ecosystem Marketing Leader, to develop excellent marketing interlock with partners, sellers, marketing teams and internal stakeholders and design a best-in-class co-marketing engine and programs experience to business partners, across Business Units.
Lead end-to-end marketing planning, execution and performance for an assigned set of business partners:
- Provides details on quarterly guidance (cross Business Unit and integrated with IBM-led marketing campaigns);
- Coaches partners in defining their marketing plans (through co-marketing execution, New Client Acquisition focus & PLGs), optimizing campaign development, execution and performance management;
- Advises business partners on developing marketing plans, covering all aspects of IBM marketing (targeting Marketing Sourced Revenue);
- Coordinates and supports the timely and compliant approval of Marketing Activity Plans for assigned business partners according to IBMs T&C and audit requirements;
- Plans and manages marketing enablement for assigned business partners
- Help partners plan progression activities with their clients to grow ROI
- Support the execution of the events plan for Business Partners in your country/ region
Advocate for the value of business partners across IBM Marketing and Sales:
- Collaborates with GEO team and Field marketing teams to provide to assigned business partners quarterly and ongoing marketing guidance, in line with marketing strategy and local market specifics;
- Represents business partners in routes to market design (via local Marketing team);
- Integrates business partners in IBM Marketing campaigns & events (in collaboration with IBM Field Marketing).
Work on skills development for assigned set of business partners:
- Advocates and enables business partner transformation to digital marketing (i.e. drive to My Digital Marketing, Seismic, IBM Training);
- Advises on skill progression and tier benefits and closely guides business partners on reaching the appropriate level.
Advocate to business partners on collaboration with IBM:
- Communication on benefits, eligibility, enablement, digital marketing news;
- Engages business partners in launches, events, awards;
- Identifies and assists in building the business partner stories (internal and external);
- Targets multiple audiences within business partner – C-level, Sellers, Marketers;
- Strengthens the relationship between IBM and the business
- Previous experience in working with and for business partners.
- Understand evolving partner Ecosystem landscape, partner business models and revenue streams, how they create demand, and relationships between vendors and partners.
- Previous experience in digital marketing and performance management, customer experience, and/or customer service roles
- Ability to think logically, to analyze pipeline and performance information and suggest corrective actions.
- Strong networking, negotiation and influencing skills with marketing and sales colleagues
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate across functions and geographies.
- Writing and presentations skills.
- Organization skills and good attention to detail.
- Client centric attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English. Additional (local) language is a plus.
- Bachelor or Master‘s Degree
- Partner marketing experience in a B2B environment, having first-hand experience and a track record of successfully developing marketing strategy and programs and achieving great ROI
- Experiments constantly, embracing a client-centric mindset to find new ways to satisfy Partner needs
- Highly collaborative – able to represent ecosystem in meetings and discussions, building effective teaming relationships within ecosystem marketing and with other marketing and business areas
