In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring technical leadership and add value to projects through your expertise in designing and implementing data streaming applications (with Apache Flink) and real-time analytics solutions (with Apache Pinot) within AWS architectures. You will support development teams at IBM Mexico’s Client Innovation Center and lead AWS architectural initiatives for our clients, driving impactful contributions to their technology modernization journeys.
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
This role has strong potential to add value to cloud development and migration projects, particularly in the design and implementation of data streaming applications (using Apache Flink) and real-time analytics solutions (with Apache Pinot) within AWS architectures. While the candidate brings broad knowledge in areas such as networking, databases, analytics, and security, it is important to note that they do not have deep specialization in these domains. Nevertheless, this profile is well-suited to effectively lead architectural initiatives.
Experience in designing and implementing Data Streaming Applications (with Apache Flink) and Real-Time Analytics solutions (with Apache Pinot).
Proven background in technologies such as real-time processing, continuous data flow, and scalability.
Hands-on experience with AWS and a strong command of a broad range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation).
Experience with AWS migration services (e.g., AWS Application Migration Service [MGN], Cloud Migration Factory, portfolio analysis tools) and managing large-scale migrations between data centers or from on-premise to cloud environments; experience in data center operations (e.g., data assurance, monitoring, alerting, and notifications).
Experience integrating AWS AI/ML services (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, Amazon Q); understanding of AI/ML governance and responsible AI practices.
AWS professional-level certifications are preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional).
Proficiency in automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python, CDK, shell, Ruby, PowerShell).
Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Design and implement complex, scalable, and secure solutions on AWS tailored to client needs.
Provide technical guidance and support throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients on industry trends and emerging technologies.
Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and the creation of reusable artifacts.
