Seeking a Business Change and Training Consultant at Band 7. This role is vital to the continued success of IBM’s delivery for one of our largest and strategically important clients. The position requires a consultant who can lead and execute training, change and adoption activities across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, supporting the client as they continue to modernise, scale, and transform their national vaccination and clinical systems.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping change approach, designing and delivering training programmes, driving user adoption, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring successful embedding of new ways of working across the client organisation.
Change Management & Adoption
- Lead the development and execution of business change strategies, plans, and communications for the HSE Vaccines transformation programme.
- Conduct stakeholder assessments, change impacts, readiness analyses, and resistance mitigation plans.
- Drive adoption across diverse user groups, ensuring smooth transition to new processes and systems.
- Partner with client leaders, SMEs, and project teams to embed sustainable behavioural change.
Training Strategy & Delivery
- Own the end-to-end training workstream, including design, development, scheduling, and delivery of training materials and sessions.
- Ensure training solutions are tailored to audience needs, scalable, and aligned with programme timelines and objectives.
- Provide coaching and knowledge-transfer to client teams to build long-term internal capability.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong working relationships across junior, mid-level, and senior client stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor, supporting client decision-making and ensuring alignment with IBM methodologies and programme outcomes.
- Represent IBM professionally and positively in all client interactions.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor and support junior IBM team members, acting as a catalyst for capability uplift across the Business Change and Training team.
- Foster a collaborative environment that improves performance, reduces dependence on higher-band resources, and supports delivery excellence.
Programme Delivery
- Collaborate closely with the broader IBM delivery team to ensure integrated and timely delivery across all programme workstreams.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and issues early, and support the creation of mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and knowledge management activities.
Future Growth & Opportunity Development
- Support the account team in identifying and shaping future work within the HSE and across similar public sector clients.
- Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership to demonstrate IBM’s value and expand our footprint.
Training Design & Delivery Tools:
Skilled in developing high-quality training assets using tools such as MS PowerPoint, or LMS platforms, and digital learning formats (video, e-learning modules, quick reference guides).Process Mapping & Business Analysis:
Ability to interpret business processes, conduct impact analyses, create process maps, and translate system changes into training and communication requirements.Enterprise Application Familiarity:
Experience working with large-scale enterprise platforms (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP, Salesforce, custom national health systems), including understanding how system changes affect business workflows.Stakeholder Analysis & Reporting Tools:
Proficient in using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Confluence, or Jira to support stakeholder mapping, readiness assessments, progress reporting, and project documentation.Change Impact & Readiness Assessment:
Ability to perform structured assessments, quantify change impacts, and create remediation and readiness plans based on qualitative and quantitative data.Communication & Content Development:
Strong capability in developing clear, engaging communications (emails, briefings, newsletters, FAQs, presentations) aligned to the change narrative.Data-Driven Insights for Change:
Ability to interpret user adoption data, training feedback, and engagement metrics to drive continuous improvement and refine change and training strategies.User Support Tools & Adoption Techniques:
Experience using digital adoption platforms, user guides, helpdesk queries, and floor-walking approaches to support end-user transition.Project Delivery Tools & Governance:
Competence with project delivery environments such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Teams, and IBM delivery governance processes to ensure structured and compliant execution.
