IBM is looking for a self-driven and highly motivated Operation Buyer with proven experience to join our IBM Procurement Services team for one of IBM"s key clients in EMEA.
As an Operation Buyer, you will act as a first point of contact for all Procurement related activities of a client organization.
You will be responsible for Procurement Advisory Services, full buyer purchase order placement and for providing support for procurement applications and process related help requests.
You will be aligned by categories and will ensure smooth operation of category directives in the day-to-day business.
- You will review requisition requirements, enforce category directives and approve for automated purchase order generation or create order manually
- You will act as subject matter expert in end to end purchasing processes
- You will liaise with requesters/suppliers/category managers for additional information or any questions
- You will provide guidance for client specific processes and procedures, including the procurement policy and the execution of category strategies
- You will provide support in new supplier setups or extensions and interface with clients and suppliers on payment issues
- Effective communication in German is a "must" (English might so be "an option") & any other languages is "advantage".

- Skills to ensure high client and stakeholder satisfaction
- Demonstrated understanding of how to translate business requirements into Procurement operations or specifications with best value and customer service in mind
Preferred but not mandatory:
- IT skills: Navision, Ariba, Coupa, SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, ServiceNow, PowerBI
- Experience with dashboards and reporting tools
