As an Associate ServiceNow Developer, you will be able to:
* Design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Develop integrations with third-party systems using APIs, web services, and other methods.
* Write SQL and JavaScript to extend ServiceNow functionality.
* Assist in system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure smooth deployments.
* Contribute to the development of reusable components and best practices.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest ServiceNow product releases and assess their potential benefits to clients.
Required Qualifications:
* Eligibility to work in Canada without future visa sponsorship (valid work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship).
* Willingness to live and work in Calgary, AB.
Preferred Education:
* Bachelor's degree in compurer science, computer engineering, software engineering, software development
Core Competencies:
* Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts
* Proficiency in JavaScript (core scripting language in ServiceNow)
* Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, JSON
* Understanding of databases and SQL
* Exposure to APIs and web services (REST/SOAP)
* Basic understanding of platforms
Additional Skills:
* Awareness of ITIL framework (certification is a plus)
* Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Soft Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
* Effective communication and teamwork
* Curiosity and eagerness to learn emerging tools/tech
