We are looking for you as a Developer (m/f/x) in Processor Development for our future large-scale and high-performance computing systems. With our innovative processor designs, we tackle current and future challenges in information processing for the next generation of the world’s fastest and most powerful microprocessors. To strengthen our hardware development teams, we are hiring graduates for the position of Development Engineer (m/f/x) in Processor Development starting on February 1st, 2026.
The diverse responsibilities of the processor development team include, among others:
- Development of innovative processor and system architectures for future high-performance computing systems (Power & IBM Z)
- Development of new concepts and solutions for processor components and accelerators
- Design of high-frequency logic for high-end microprocessors
- Performance validation and optimization of critical applications for new hardware architectures
- Further development and provision of the existing DevOps and workflow infrastructure for agile hardware processor development projects
- Development of tools to automate and improve our applied methods
- Completed university degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or Physics
- Solid expertise in designing digital circuits using VHDL / Verilog or other hardware description languages. This includes partitioning logic circuits, defining interfaces between digital logic blocks, and achieving timing and power closure
- Knowledge of a programming or scripting language (e.g., Python) is an advantage
- Familiarity with development tools/technologies (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins) is a plus
- Strong team spirit and interest in working in international teams
- Excellent communication skills in both English and German
