Preferring to ‘show’ vs. ‘tell’, the Brand Technical Sales Specialist – Demo Platforms role co-creates with IBMers and clients on solutions to solve their hardest business challenges, that tell a industry-relevant story and are repeatable across our Financial Services Market.

 

In this role, you’ll be a key player on a team of Architects, AI Engineers, Designers, Sales SMEs and Industry Experts. The brightest and creative minds collaborating to create a reliable and performant demo platform.  In addition, develop technical and industry-relevant experiences that delight our customers. The outputs of which produces composable and repeatable content in the form of demos, reference architectures, blogs, podcasts, AI Assistants.

Su función y responsabilidades

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Expertise & Client Understanding: leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills like AI, Analytics, DevOps, DevSecOps, and more to build a reliable and performant demo platform. Understand clients’ businesses deeply to tailor solutions in the form of demos, reference architectures and other composable and repeatable technical content.
  • Technology & Solution Communication: define and communicate IBM’s technology value, both technically and commercially. Participate in account planning and client sessions focused on various technologies and strategic initiatives like Hybrid Cloud, Mainframe Application Modernization, Gen AI.
  • Solution Architecture & Deployment: advise on solution architecture to align with best practices and ease deployment transitions. Work with deployment teams to ensure seamless transitions of platform assets for clients.

Required Experience:

  • Technical: experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native, hybrid, or public-cloud technology. Proficient in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.). Practical knowledge of virtualized on-premise and cloud-based platforms.
  • Solution Development & Deployment: experience in building deployment automation workflows for applications and infrastructure. Understanding and applying Agile best practices in development processes.
  • Client-Facing Experience: proven track record in participating in customer-facing technical solutions teams across various cloud architectures.

 

Experiencia técnica y profesional preferida

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with technical operations role, such as site reliability or platform engineering, in hybrid-cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Experience as a Solution Architect or in a public cloud consultant role deploying and operating solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps).

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
