In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering our own platform that Apptio Products operates on, with a variety of exciting and challenging features. For example, our work includes interaction with various teams within the company to deliver applications and systems that help our growth and automate processes such as authentication, authorization, provisioning and delivering shared components used by other engineering teams.
The right candidate will be an experienced and solid Java engineer that collaborate exceptionally, have a knack for delivering improved processes that support automation and demand a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities:
You will work with your scrum team to deliver impactful and valuable features bi- weekly. You will personally own end-to-end features from concept to design to production, and partner with product managers, other engineers, and other teams to achieve high-quality solutions.

- Object-oriented software engineering with Java
- Able to work with complex object (data) models and business rules

- Able to work with product management, field staff and customers to clarify requirements
- Demonstrated experience with best SDLC practices: coding standards, reviews, code management, build processes, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Experience delivering commercial software; familiarity with common roles and responsibilities, product and release life cycle, source code and change management, etc.
- Fluent English language skills
- Technical leadership experience in building and delivering complex software systems
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in working with customers, product management, and senior management to deliver value to the market
- Robust knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, asynchronous architectures, and object-oriented programming
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Experience developing Platform applications that are used across the company by other teams and understanding the impact of this architecture in a deployment environment
- Experience building large applications at scale using modern best practices, documenting technical solutions
- Experience with AWS development and application tools
- Open to work with other technologies like React.js, Terraform, Batch processing, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
