In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
1. **Functional Consulting**: Serve as a subject matter expert for warehouse processes, guiding clients on leveraging SAP's capabilities to meet their business needs.
2. **Solution Design**: Lead the design of warehouse solutions in SAP, including warehouse structure setup, goods receipt, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management processes, optimized for the chosen SAP Warehouse Management module.
3. **Configuration and Customization**: Configure SAP EWM or S/4HANA Warehouse Management module according to the designed solution, and develop custom enhancements when necessary.
4. **Data Migration**: Plan and execute the migration of warehouse data from legacy systems into SAP, ensuring data integrity and security.
5. **Testing and Quality Assurance**: Conduct thorough testing of SAP Warehouse Management configurations to ensure they meet functional requirements and perform as expected.
6. **Training and Support**: Train end-users on SAP Warehouse Management processes and system usage. Provide ongoing support post-implementation.
7. **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the warehouse function and recommend SAP-based solutions.
8. **Project Management**: Contribute to or lead Warehouse Management module implementations, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
9. **Stakeholder Communication**: Effectively communicate with clients and internal teams, managing expectations and keeping them updated on project status.
**Qualifications:**
1. **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
2. **Experience**: Several years of experience as a warehouse consultant or SAP functional consultant, with a focus on SAP EWM or S/4HANA Warehouse Management.
3. **SAP Skills**: Strong SAP configuration skills, with a deep understanding of SAP EWM or S/4HANA Warehouse Management modules. Experience with SAP Fiori and other UI technologies is beneficial.
4. **Warehouse Management Knowledge**: Comprehensive understanding of warehouse processes, including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
5. **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
6. **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex logistics concepts clearly.
7. **Project Management**: Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. This role requires a consultant who can combine deep functional warehouse management knowledge with strong SAP skills, driving successful SAP Warehouse Management implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
