The Blue Studio project manager is a key orchestrator, managing creative project expectations among stakeholders, the Blue Studio and agency partners to uphold our creative excellence. The role covers 3 key tenets: execution team advocacy, external agency partner management, and operational excellence.
Monitors incoming project requests for IBM Blue Studio’s internal creative and external agency teams, proactively communicating concerns or issues to broader cross-functional teams
Works effectively within the Engagement Team to guide project initiation, execution, and creative workflows with the appropriate IBM subject matter experts and Blue Studio directional leads, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Creates project timelines to meet forecasted demand, ensures appropriate workflow prioritization, and raises blockers as needed
Organizes meetings and kickoff calls with relevant SMEs and Blue Studio leads
Manages creative team resource allocation and assigns appropriate resources to new projects
Communicates project updates to promote alignment and transparency; acts as a champion for the team by advocating for its needs and positioning its work effectively
Maintains project documentation, tracks progress, and prepares project reports
Ensures deliverables are finalized according to the project brief and statement of work
Conducts project closing procedures, including uploading final files, updating documentation, and scheduling retrospectives with internal and external teams
Identifies, assesses, and prioritizes risks and issues, escalating them to the appropriate resources for resolution
Supports process improvement by helping the team evolve workflows based on efficiencies gained over time
- Fluent in English
- Excellent expectation management, communication skills and knowledge of the Agile method
- Some experience working or internship in a start-up or creative agency or in-house with creative partners
- Some knowledge of creative production tools like Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with project management tools like Workfront
