We are seeking engineers for photolithography process research and development for semiconductors and related devices. The hired candidates will have an understanding of the fundamental principles and materials and tooling in photolithography through a combination of relevant education and/or work experience. The candidate will also have strong skills in designing experiments, analyzing data and communicating results to a broad team. Some of the job responsibilities include maintaining and qualifying state of the art lithography process equipment and/or developing processes and materials from an early concept stage into a mature element that enables a leading-edge technology. This role will focus on 193nm and i-line lithography tooling and target chiplet and packaging technology research and development. The positions require interaction with cross-functional and multi-company working teams that include engineers engaged in all areas of semiconductor process development, process integration, design/layout, and computational technology. Generation of Intellectual Property for IBM and protection of it through the patenting process are also expected. The hired candidates must possess strong analytical and design-of-experiment knowledge, demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English. You must be willing to work in Albany, NY, with rare instances of travel (<5%).
- 2+ years of experience with lithography process and tooling (preferably 193nm and i-line)
