You will join a dynamic Product Management group at IBM Infrastructure, Storage Division. You will gain significant experience, getting opportunities in performing a variety of roles in both Inbound and Outbound Product Management.
As a product manager at IBM, you will be responsible for Competitive Research Analysis and you play a critical role in researching, analyzing and reporting on IBM Storage products’ competitive landscape. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter with strong research, analytical and communication skills. The candidate must be capable of crafting executive level summaries and documents. A successful candidate will also be able to use AI tools and techniques to maximize the effectiveness of their research.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research
- Independent research on competitors
- Stay up to date on AI tools that will optimize research
2. Competitive Analysis:
- Research and analyze competitors of IBM Storage products on a regular, frequent basis
- Capture substance of competitor press releases, earnings calls, annual reports and other information sources
- Understand competitor business models and analyze their performance
3. Insightful Reporting:
- Regular executive summary of competitive activity
- Regular all-storage summary
- Periodic detailed reports on competitors
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
- MBA (required), preferrably with specialization and experience in Product Management, competitive analysis, market research, or strategic marketing a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in AI tools.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Familiarity with storage technology or enterprise IT solutions is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
