Your role and responsibilities

As a member of the IBM Cloud – Fabric Core team, you can
directly change and improve systems used by various teams throughout the
organization, by sharing your ideas of new features and improvements. We strive to

work and where you are motivated to produce the best results possible.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

·       A self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to drive projects to completion in a fast-moving environment

·       Design and develop innovative, company and industry affecting services using open source and commercial technologies at scale

·       Take ownership and manage tasks that vary in size and scope depending on requirements

·       Be inquisitive and learn from subject matter experts when given direction

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

·       Demonstrated analytical skills and data structures/algorithms fundamentals

·       Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills

·       Experience debugging monolithic legacy enterprise software

·       3+ years of experience with Java or Server-Side PHP

·       Experience with SOAP API design, ORM concepts, software testing

·       Experience with a version control system (GIT preferred)

·       Experience developing automated tests or using automated test frameworks


Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with SQL Databases
  • Experience with Caching Libraries such as Memcached or Redis
  • Experience with Ansible Playbook development or Chef Role creation
