Your role and responsibilities

As a backend developer you will be responsible for implementing new features, optimizing, and maintaining existing code, ensuring the software meets high-quality standards through testing and debugging focused on IBM Storage Tape products. You will also work closely with other developers, designers, and testers to ensure the software meets the requirements and is high quality.

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
  • Academic or demonstrated experience developing software as well as providing testing and support to software applications.
  • Experience in Python and REST APIs
  • Experience in Linux operating system including being comfortable using the command line interface.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience in working with large teams distributed across geo locations
  • Strong debug skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, team oriented
  • Intermediate-advanced English level
Preferred technical and professional experience

Desirable to have experience in storage concepts such as methods (file, block and object), storage solutions such as S3 or Ceph, devices and hardware such as Tape, SSD or HDD technologies.
