We are looking for a motivated intern to join our IBM i Product Support team, assisting in delivering high-quality technical support for clients running critical business applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in enterprise IT systems to gain hands-on experience with a stable, mission-critical operating system used by companies across the globe.
As a Product Support Intern, you will assist support engineers in investigating, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, helping customers maximize the value of our IBM i-based solutions.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to IBM i software, applications, and system tools.
- Work with support tickets to gather logs, system data, and steps to reproduce issues.
- Provide first-level support via email, ticketing systems, or live support (under supervision).
- Collaborate with senior engineers and development teams to escalate and track complex issues.
- Document common issues and create/update support knowledge base articles.
- Participate in internal training and shadowing sessions to build IBM i technical knowledge.
Exposure to IBM i (AS/400), RPG, CL, or DB2 is a plus.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong interest in technical support, enterprise systems, and customer service.
- Basic understanding of operating systems, networking, and database concepts.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn IBM i architecture, tools, and command line interface.
