As an Integration / Clocking / Timing Engineer, you will be responsible for the physical and electrical design and development of high-frequency microprocessor chips at the chiplet and chip hierarchies. Design,
coordinate and manage clock and power delivery networks across all levels. Optimize buffering and wiring to meet power, timing, yield, and manufacturability constraints. Collaborate with internal EDA team/external tool vendors to develop and optimize tools and methodologies.

About the Team
This diverse team is composed of IBM’s best-in-class chip development team responsible for delivering the
latest silicon used in the IBM z16 and IBM Power10 line of systems. This team is primarily based in Austin, TX, Poughkeepsie, NY and Rochester, MN but is distributed across multiple geographies with teams across the US and the globe in Israel, India, Germany and others.
- Deliver the physical and electrical design of specific processor hierarchies
- Requires demonstrated ability to effectively team with a cross-site, multidisciplinary team
- BS Computer/Electrical Engineering or related
- 5+ years of experience in high-frequency processor physical design
- Scripting skills (Python, Tcl, SKILL, etc.)
- Ability to work well in a team and be productive under aggressive schedules
- Strong communication skills
- Inter-discipline design experience
- Understanding of Agile development processes
- Familiarity with IBM tools (eFinale, EinsTimer, TheGuide, etc.)
