Our ibm.com team designs, builds, writes, publishes, localizes, and optimizes our digital content to provide a productive web experience for all IBM constituencies.
As a Developer Advocate within the ibm.com team, you’ll harness your skills to engage in the development of explainers and tutorials, which will focus on common technological use cases that can be solved for using not only IBM’s but also open source tools. Additionally, you will assist on and produce video content and podcasts relevant to the needs of our community.
Your role is to lead and build authoritative content focused on topics related to the Data and AI space to encourage and drive adoption. You should leverage internal product enablement, market and academic research, books, top articles and videos on search engines to inform your content. This in-depth research will allow you to identify content patterns and cross reference information across sources, enabling you to craft authoritative technical content on search engines. Your content should drive organic traffic outcomes to the IBM website as well as progress users further down the marketing funnel. We offer a dynamic blend of personal flexibility and a thriving in-office environment. This role requires three days of in-office presence per week, with two days for remote work.

Enjoy self-driven learning on new technologies
Programming experience, particularly in Python, and are familiar with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, Pytorch, Jupyter notebooks and are familiar with model providers such as Hugging Face, Replicate and Ollama
Experience with Developer communications, like engineering blogs and writing newsletters
Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork. You have a volunteer spirit with a 'we succeed as a team' attitude.
- Publicly available open-source contributions and/or technical writing samples that demonstrate high audience reach (e.g. articles that rank on page 1 of SERPs, published articles, etc.)
- Enjoy public speaking at meetups, conferences, and internal events
- You are an experienced writer and content creator
- You have built the depth and breadth of skills to gain eminence and build a personal brand
- Exposure to speaking at events and conferences
- Experience with the Adobe Experience Manager a plus
