Your role and responsibilities

As a Delivery Consultant, you’ll work closely with IBM clients and partners to design, implement, and optimize IBM Technology solutions tailored to their business objectives. You will apply your technical expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes while using your consultative mindset, problem-solving skills, and a service-oriented approach.

As part of IBM Technology Expert Labs—a client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical team—you’ll collaborate with clients to solve real-world business problems through innovation and practical execution.

A day to day may include:

  • Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Analyzing client pain points and delivering tailored solutions across the lifecycle of design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and support—with a sense of urgency and focus on business value.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Creating and executing agile project plans, including asset provisioning, testing, production migration, and post-deployment support.
  • Leading Technical Workshops: Conducting and participating in technical workshops to define and refine solution architectures.
  • Building Strategic Relationships: Developing and maintaining strong client relationships across all levels—from engineers to executives—navigating complex discussions to reach consensus.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and a drive to resolve challenges by leveraging both data and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication: Working seamlessly with IBM teams, partners, and clients—communicating effectively to deliver value and alignment.
Required education
Associate's Degree/College Diploma
Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

Minimum 4 years of demonstrable experience in at least three of the following areas:

  • Programming: Java, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, JavaScript, Python
  • Operating Systems & Scripting: Linux/RHEL, Unix, Windows
  • Databases: DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP; containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); and CI/CD pipelines


Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite
  • Familiarity with AI, Machine Learning, Microservices, and Design Thinking methodologies
  • Exposure to open-source technologies such as Cassandra, Kafka, MongoDB, Node.js, and Spring Boot
