As a Product Manager for IBM MDM, you will drive the strategy, development, and delivery of our next-generation solutions. You will translate business needs into actionable product requirements, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure the success of MDM products across IBM’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Vision: Define the product roadmap, identify market opportunities, and align product strategy with IBM’s broader business goals.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand needs, conduct market research, and translate findings into detailed product requirements.
- Product Development: Prioritize features, manage the product backlog, and collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Product Launch & Lifecycle Management: Oversee product releases, ensure smooth go-to-market execution, and maintain strong customer satisfaction post-launch.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to drive continuous product innovation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and design teams to deliver cohesive, customer-centric experiences.
- Data Quality & Governance: Advocate for best practices in data quality and governance, critical to the success of MDM initiatives.
- Technology Awareness: Stay informed on developments in AI, foundation models, and data management technologies to continuously enhance our product capabilities.
- 5+ years of software product management experience, with a data-informed approach to prioritization and decision-making.
- 5+ years of experience conducting user research and optimizing workflows for improved user experiences.
- 5+ years of agile product delivery experience, including writing user stories, managing backlogs, and performing user acceptance testing (UAT).
- 5+ years working with data-oriented technologies (e.g., data integration, governance, data quality, marketplaces), with an understanding of AI and foundational models.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and business domains, with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Technical background in IBM or similar vendors' data solutions, including but not limited to databases/lakehouses, data integration and governance tools, MDM platforms, data science, and AI software.
