As a Application Consultant you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who sells, leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Consultant is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.
You will work on projects that help clients integrate strategy, process, technology, and information to increase effectiveness, reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value. You can take advantage of opportunities to master new skills, work across different disciplines, move into new challenges and develop a robust understanding of different industries.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Proposal Development: Identify business drivers and goals and develop compelling proposals and value-driven business cases to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Requirements Analysis and Specifications Design: Translate client's business needs into business requirements and participate in the production of detailed design and technical specifications.
- Future-Ready Architecture Planning: Understand the requirements, current architecture state of the enterprise and create roadmaps for future enhancements accordingly.
- 2-3 years of experience in system analysis and design (SA).
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, Spring, and SQL.
- Familiar with Linux and Oracle applications, with basic knowledge of information security.
- Strong self-learning ability for new technologies and willingness to embrace challenges in fintech innovations.
- Experience in microservices architecture design, containerized application development, DevOps practices; hands-on experience in agile projects with CI/CD/CT setup is a plus.
- Practical experience in cross-system integration or solid system planning capabilities.
- Ability to work independently to solve problems, strong teamwork spirit, good communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in development and maintenance of core banking product systems (such as deposits and loans, credit cards, and investment products) is a plus.
