Your role and responsibilities
Hands on experience managing large Linux clusters (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu) Operating Systems Administration running on IBM LinuxONE
·      Proficiency in Python, Bash to automate system administrative to streamline process and improve efficiency.
·      Strong experience in setting up, configuring LPARS on IBM LinuxONE Hardware and experience with migrating LPARS.
·      Hands on experience in Cryptography, Encryption, HSM, KMS and TKE.
·      Experience in setting up, managing, and troubleshooting KVM based virtual machines
·      Hands on experience in z/VM Administration, Upgrades and Problem determination
  • Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS
  • Hands on experience in managing storage resources (FICON, FCP, NVMe) attached to LinuxONE partitions including creating storage groups, tape links, and managing storage access.
  • Experience with installation and administration of Open Shift clusters
·      In-depth understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
·      Rich experience with installation, maintenance, and optimization of z/OS systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
·   Strong SMPE skills, z/OS Installs and z/OS migrations and IBM Z Hardware Migration
·   Hands on experience with ISV to IBM Products migration
·   Experience with handling Data Centre migrations and GDPS Technologies
·   Proficiency in RACF security software, including encryption, ciphers, and certificates
·   Experience with HCD and IODF requirements
·  WLM, RMF, ICSF, JCL, z/OSMF, REXX, JES2, JES3, RACF, Performance & Capacity Management

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

 

10+ years’ experience in: 

·       Hands on experience managing large Linux clusters (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu) Operating Systems Administration running on IBM LinuxONE

Preferred technical and professional experience

Certifications in Linux (RHCE, RHCSA, RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator), containerization, and virtualization platforms are highly desirable.

· Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.

· Experience on storage provisioning, mapping, and zoning across various platforms with knowledge of storage protocols.
