IBM Technology Expert Labs consultants have the deepest technical expertise and experience in AI application platform technologies, they are experts in advising clients on modernization and optimization of data-driven, secure, integrated platforms for high-performance data processing.
 
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative AI architect, who’ll join our Data Software services organization IBM Expert Labs in the beautiful city of Kraków, Poland. We’re looking for a person with a passion to the world of data science, machine learning and AI. As individual contributor this position will work directly with cross functional teams, product management, support and engineering to build and transform AI and ML systems at customers.

Your role and responsibilities
  • Work in customer projects on data science implementations – solution architecture design, solution review and healthchecks, ongoing project help and supervision, ongoing solution consultancy i.e. data model building, testing and training strategies
  • Work on and provide with reference architecture and guidelines, standards and best practices for greater IBM data science technology adoption and implementation (i.e. data modeling, data lineage, data governance, data virtualisation) to share across the WW team
  • Review solutions and designs of peers, Support peers and IT partners by recommending solutions that reduce/manage risk and deliver value.
  • Monitor technology trends and emerging technologies. Model a future-state enterprise solution architecture which incorporates IBM data science platform. Help driving technology strategies and initiatives into actionable roadmaps with clear direction on execution, ensuring business value and ROI
  • Design and implement own, new tools for automating deployment or migration, etc.
  • Work in an agile and collaborative, international and cross-functional environment, including account teams, product management, support, engineering, other data scientists and database administrators
  • Ability/permission to travel to customers within the European Union without any restrictions or foreign office involvement is required to fulfil this role
Required education

Required technical and professional expertise
  • 5+ yrs. experience in data science – i.e. statistical functions and algorithms, data modelling, analytics, business intelligence, natural language understanding, decision optimization, DataOps
  • Experience with statistical programming in one of the most popular languages (ex: Python, R, SAS or Java) and data science toolkits (Jupyter notebooks, PyTorch, PyCharm, sci-kit, etc.)
  • Must have a proven track record of innovation – 3x exemplary projects i.e. demonstrating the understanding of data usage, process analysis and improvement
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and data integration needs and working knowledge of containerized environments like RedHat OpenShift, Dockers, K8s
  • being detail-oriented, team-oriented, self-directed and adaptable to new development environments and changing business requirements
  • Ability/permission to travel to customers within the European Union without any restrictions or foreign office involvement is required to fulfil this role
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • 3+ yrs Experience in open source Machine and Deep Learning frameworks, model validation and deployment tools
  • Understanding of concepts of data governance, data stewardship and trustworthy AI
  • Understanding of generative AI concepts, large language models, data labelling and structuring
  • Experienced in data migration, debugging and data system performance optimization
  • Familiarity with IBM WatsonX.ai, IBM WatsonX Orchestrate and Agentic AI, IBM Watson Natural Language Understanding, SPSS Modeller and Statistics
