In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
User experience (UX) designers focus on creating seamless, engaging experiences by designing the underlying structure and information flow for products, services, and systems. Their primary responsibilities include:
1. Understanding user needs and context through research insights.
2. Defining UX goals and principles based on research findings.
3. Applying human factors knowledge, such as Hick's Law and Fitt's Law, to optimize interactions.
4. Designing the user experience architecture, including functions, information, and interactions.
5. Developing navigation pathways and content organization strategies.
6. Considering user context variations, such as culture, environment, and activity.
7. Integrating technological, operational, and functional constraints into human-centered opportunities.
8. Ensuring relational aspects are considered across the entire experience
- Proven experience in UX design
- Strong understanding of UX principles, linguistics, and user behavior.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch) and conversation design platforms.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to empathize with users and translate insights into effective designs.
