Your role and responsibilities

A Data Application Engineer at Apptio specializes in developing financial system application integrations using tools like IBM DataStage, Webmethods, and Dell Boomi and similar no-code (low code) platform.

 

The role involves designing data pipelines, testing software, documenting requirements, and creating efficient data transfer solutions for the Apptio product suite. Engineers collaborate closely with technical teams and customers to build innovative no (low) code integration features.

 

Key responsibilities include developing integration for cloud and on-premises systems, executing software testing, debugging integration, and providing advanced technical support. The position requires deep technical expertise and the ability to become an expert in various integration systems.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • 2+ years of experience in software development
  • At least 1+ years of development experience building data pipelines with no (low) code platform like IBM DataStage, IBM Webmethods, Boomi (optional).
  • Experience with IBM cloud and/or other clouds AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience in design and development of Scalable, high load, process (application, integration) on IBM DataStage, IBM Webmethods, Boomi
  • Experience in scripting (JavaScript or Groovy) in process creation
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Strong Experience in no (low) code development – IBM DataStage, web-methods and Boomi custom connector creation
  • Experience in IBM DataStage, Webmethods or boomi infrastructure management. Ex:  managing/setting up remote engines, molecule, boomi cloud configuration (space, RAM etc) management, deployment.
  • Exposure to one or more of these systems: SAP, Oracle products, Workday, Peoplesoft, Salesforce, ServiceNow, VMware
  • Ability to identify, focus, and own, high priority tasks to manage delivery to project timelines
  • Experience with IBM cloud and/or other clouds AWS, GCP, Azure.
