Your role and responsibilities

Software Engineer well versed in Mainframe COBOL to assist with Modernization conversion projects, including problem determination and resolution.

Responsibilities:
* Assist with Problem determination in application modernization issues in both the converted application COBOL code, and internal COBOLframework
* Resolve issues and / or make recommendations on corrections needed
* Document issues / resolution as required
* Make modifications to internal COBOL framework as assigned

Required education

Preferred education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

• Excellent COBOL, COBOL/CICS programming and debugging skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills

• Excellent understanding of IDMS application and Database usage, including tools

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Understanding of other programming languages a plus
• Familiarity with SQL and DB2 Database concepts a plus
