Cloud VPC QA Specialist / Tech Lead

We are seeking a QA lead for IBM Cloud VPC team. This individual will play a crucial role in the cloud software development process, have a deeper understanding and experience in designing and implementing test strategies, in leading testing effort with the Product Development team, onshore/ offshore QA team, resulting in higher quality software products.

Your role and responsibilities

 

  • Develop in depth functionality and stability automatic tests that will map customer use cases
  • Research the right set of workloads and benchmarks
  • Develop automated test scenarios and environments for End2End automatic evaluation
  • Collect test evidence measurements to ensure system functionality, stability and scalability
  • Designing and implementing automation tools and frameworks for continuous integration, delivery and deployment
  • Monitoring and managing infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application development, deployment, and operations
  • Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies
  • Continuously improving processes and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
  •  Skilled in testing tools, frameworks, API development
  • Experience with test automation, debugging, and analytical skills 
  • Hands-on with programming languages such as Python, PHY test framework
  • Good understanding of Cloud services. Development and deployment methodologies in cloud
  • Hands on Kubernetes, DevOps, Jenkins integration, Build CI/CD test pipelines, container orchestration, artifactory/registries
  • Working knowledge of Agile scrum, sprint, kanban, Jira boards
  • Github repo management skills as, merge, rebase, branching, forking and submodules
  • Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams to identify and address bottlenecks in the software development lifecycle
  • Strong leadership and communication skills  

 

 
Preferred technical and professional experience
 
  • IBM Cloud especially VPC , CI/CD , Quality and automation
  • Experience in leveraging/development/test of various cloud services
  • Experience of working with a broad spectrum of technology solutions including Cloud, Data and AI
