The IBM Sourcing Manager will lead a team of IBM sourcing employees, focusing on sourcing processes, team performance and reporting, while driving the success of IBM's procurement services for a BPO client account.
Supports and advises the IBM sourcing team that is dedicated to the client account, coordinates all sourcing personnel to meet operational metrics, develops and implements recommendations.
Facilitates effective communication between the IBM sourcing team and the client Indirect Sourcing Department, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange.
Support the client Indirect Sourcing Department Manager with seeking out savings opportunities, supplier consolidation, process improvements and delivering any relevant training to client business stakeholder.
Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team performance and growth.
- Manage the IBM sourcing staff from an HR perspective, including performance evaluations, training, and talent development
Account Management:
- Ensure timely and accurate performance and governance reporting to client Indirect Sourcing Department Manager
- Support seeking out any potential savings and supplier consolidation opportunities.
- Responsible for the IBM Sourcing team delivering agreed KPI targets
- Suppling the client Indirect Sourcing Department Manager with ad hoc reports on the IBM Sourcing team data within reason and within a reasonable timeframe
- Act as an escalation point for the client Indirect Sourcing Department, noting that Category Managers are to allocate sourcing events and tasks as needed.Address any concerns regarding the workload of IBM Sourcing team members promptly.
Communication
- Acts as a conduit to cascade information from the client organisation to IBM sourcing team, particularly from Indirect Sourcing Department Manager
- Maintains positive relationships with relevant stakeholders such as Procurement, Legal, Finance, Compliance etc
- Effectively collaborate with the Category Managers.
- Team Performance and Monitoring
- Monitor IBM sourcing team performance, setting goals and objectives, and tracking progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and implement relevant KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Be an escalation point for the client Sourcing team if there are any performance concerns with any of the IBM Sourcing team members.
Reporting and Governance
- Drive monthly governance meetings backed-up with appropriate documentation, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Ensure the accuracy of data reported, and work with the reporting team to build dashboards and improve reporting
- Follow up on escalations from the Category Managers, ensuring timely resolution and complete reporting
- Process Development and Compliance
- Ensure the IBM Sourcing team is adhering to both IBM and client policies, processes and internal audit requirements as detailed in the relevant training materials
- Develops and proposes sourcing processes.
- Promote IBM's innovation and initiatives to identify opportunities for joint growth and to support transformation client transformation.
