Introduction

We are seeking a versatile Podcast Producer who will support the production of IBM podcasts. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end production of multiple podcasts simultaneously. Additionally, they will support general production needs, including scripting, content review and asset organization. The Podcast Producer should provide creative input on the content and processes. The ideal candidate has experience in audio and video editing. They will play a key role in creating polished, entertaining and engaging content for a technical audience. 

 

Your role and responsibilities

Pre-Production: Manage the production lifecycle for multiple podcasts, from planning and recording to editing and distribution. Coordinate with hosts, guests and other team members to schedule recordings and ensure smooth production workflows. Identify and address potential logistical or technical challenges. Document and project manage show production and process timelines. 

 

On-Air Production: Set expectations with participants and manage both remote recording sessions via Riverside and in-person, studio recording sessions. Take detailed notes during recordings to flag edits and key moments. Conduct camera and sound checks to ensure technical readiness for quality recording. 

 

Post-Production: Collaborate with production team to finalize episodes, incorporating feedback and adhering to production timelines. Provide on-the-fly video and audio edits as needed.

 

Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise

  • Proven experience in podcast production, audio editing, or a related field. 

  • Familiarity with remote recording platforms and podcasting equipment. 

  • Strong organizational, project management, communication, and multitasking skills.

  • Fluent in English (will be reporting directly to a global team).

 

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Proficiency with audio editing tools (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools); video editing skills are a plus. 

  • Knowledge of podcasting trends and audience preferences. 

  • Adaptability to different technical setups and guest needs.
