In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO) across on-premise, RISE with SAP, and cloud environments.

  • Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, and patching on Windows/Linux with Oracle, HANA, or SQL databases.

  • Ensure system performance, availability, and security compliance.

  • Support transport management, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead Basis-related initiatives.

We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our team and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP system landscapes across multiple environments  In this role, you will:

  • Manage SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations (on-premise and cloud).

  • Perform daily system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

  • Support security and user administration tasks in collaboration with the SAP security team.

  • Implement and maintain system backups, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation and provide timely resolution of critical system issues.

 

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture and system administration.

  • Experience with SAP installations, system copies, support packages, and kernel upgrades.

  • Proficiency in managing SAP systems on databases such as HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server.

  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager (System Monitoring, EarlyWatch Alert, etc.).

  • Familiarity with OS-level administration on Linux and/or Windows.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
